There were some absolute cracker patterns released this month.

Sinbad and Sailor came out with the hugely popular Hepworth Dress.  These sleeveless dress has a fit and flare shape with princess bodice seams and inseam pockets.

Also at the very start of the month Gertie announced her new book “Gertie Sews Vintage Casual“.  It is the  modern guide to sportswear styles of the 1940’s and 1950’s with patterns to help you create a vintage inspired casual wardrobe.  Preorder available on Amazon.

Sew Serendipity announced their final pattern for their Spring 2014 colelction – The Jade Jacket.  This jacket is simply constructed using only 4 pattern pieces.  The pattern can be made as a fully lined bolero, a jacket or a longer coat.

Deer and Doe’s latest pattern is the fabulous Centauree dress.  This is a very special looking summer dress.  They have been going through the construction process in a SAL on their blog.

Bianca is the latest versatile pattern from Made By Rae.  This pattern can easily be made into a top, tunic or dress with only very slight modifications.

Another simple skirt pattern was released by Imagine Gnats called Adler.

Teach me Fashion’s latest wardrobe staple pattern release was the Little Black Dress.

Papercut patterns released a new collection of three patterns called tri.  It consists of the Soma Swimsuit, Anima Pant and Pneuma tank. 

Pneuma is an on trend sports bra with a decorative crossed back.  The additional tank overlay make this perfect for you need a little more coverage.

The anima pant can be made cropped or also made as shorts.

Soma is the standout pattern of this collection.  This swimsuit has such a fantastic style and  it has a variation to suit most body types

Papercut have also taken this opportunity to rework some of their more popular patterns too. Ohh la leggings, CoppeliaSJ tee and undercover Hoodie have had a makeover.  The best thing is that they are now available as downloadable PDFs.

Olive peplum top was the latest addition to Lolitas pattern family.  This peplum shirt has a unique sheer overlay and flounce detail.  It is a very pretty blouse that can dress up any outfit.

Thread theory come out with a free undershirt called arrowsmith for the men in our lives..  A great staple that can be worn as un undershirt or as a summer singlet

Seamingly smitten came out with two new patterns this month.  One was the Sarabeth beach cover up and the 2nd is a yet to be named sundress.

My favourite pattern release this month was the honeydew skirt by Seamster patterns.  This is a very simple yet elegant skirt suitable for beginners.  It is an aline skirt with a 3 panelled back and inseam side pockets.  It is designed for fabrics with a slight stretch and has three wasitband variations.

For those coming into the warmer months The makers’ journal released the Teeny Weeny String Bikini pattern.

Blue Ginger Doll have two new coordinating patterns –  The Betsy Skirt and Ava Jacket.  Betsy is a pencil skirt with 3 design variations. andAva is a fully lined kimono swing jacket.

For a simple one yard make you can’t go further than SBCC reviver skirt.  Isn’t it just stunning.  Very  drape drape.

Violet Field threads which are now expanding their womens range of patterns have made a cute top/dress for misses with a bow back detail called Piper.

Style arc always release new patterns at the start of each month.  May was no different and saw the release of the following patterns
